STEP 1 - Enroll
Individuals called to ministry or interested in equipping themselves for more effective service may enroll as students in two ways. When registering for your first class through the ASOM website, you will be asked if you are a new student and charged the $20 enrollment fee.  New students must pay this one-time fee before their first class registration is accepted.  You may also contact the ASOM office for an Enrollment Form if you prefer.  Enrollment fees are non-refundable.

STEP 2 - Register for Class

Register through the ASOM website or by calling the office at 602-343-4000.  Registration, along with the appropriate fees, are due no later than fourteen days before the course begins. The $90 registration is required on a class-by-class basis. Click here to register for classes.

STEP 3 - Study Guide
Upon receipt of a completed course registration, the Study Guide will be emailed to the student with your confirmation of registration. Students are responsible for contacting the ASOM office if they have not received the Study Guide. Course materials will not be sent until all fees are paid in full.

STEP 4 - Textbooks
A list of course textbooks is available on the ASOM website. It is critically important that the correct textbook be purchased for each course since the content in various editions of the same title may differ greatly.

We have an agreement with Christian Book Distributors to secure the best price for the books used in ASOM. There is a link on our website to Christian Book Distributors listing the books required for ASOM.  We still encourage you to check out other sites that sell books to see if there might be further savings.

Read your textbook(s) as soon as you receive them and then complete the Study Guide. A minimum of ten hours or more of preparatory study is required prior to the class session. A thorough knowledge of the information covered in the textbook is expected when students arrive for class. Click here for more information on textbooks.

STEP 5 - Attend Class
There are ten classes for each level at ASOM that students will need to attend.  Arrive for the class at least 15 minutes early in order to have enough time to check in and to be ready for class to start on time.  Bring all pre-class assignments, including the Study Guide, completed and ready for submission to the course instructor.

STEP 6 - Practicum
For those desiring credentials, there is a mandatory practicum for each level of credentials.  Each practicum covers different aspects of ministry so a different practicum must be done for each level.  There is a $20 practicum enrollment that must be completed before the internship begins.  For more information on practicums click here.

STEP 7 - Credentials

The process of credentialing in Arizona is handled by a different department than ASOM.  Those wishing to become credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God in Arizona will need to contact the credentialing office at 602-343-4012.  Please be aware that each level of credential requires the education for that level and all previous levels.  License applicants must complete the Certified and Licensed levels of education.  Ordination applicants must complete all three levels of education. For more information on credentials please click here.
