Each level of ASOM requires students to complete a ministry practicum. Practicums help ensure students get hands on ministry experience under the care and guidance of an Assemblies of God minister they trust. Each practicum will focus on 5 different ministry competencies. Here are the tenants for each level: Certified - Sacerdotal functions - Discipleship - Pre-marital counseling - Personal evangelism Licensed - Church administration - Biblical counseling - Personal finance - Benevolence Ordained - Strategic planning - Preaching - Church finance - Vision casting When the student registers for the practicum they will be given a packet that lists out each competency needed. Practicums typically take between 3-6 months on average. During this time they will work with you to get guided experiences in these areas. For each experience you will provide constructive feedback. At the end of the practicum you will have a chance to write a letter of recommendation to begin the credential application with the Assemblies of God.
